Taking the first step is the hardest part. We’ll make it gentle.

No pressure. No commitment. Just a conversation to see if we’re a good fit.

What we help with

You don’t have to name it perfectly to begin.

Whatever you’re carrying, it belongs in the room. These are the areas we work with most often — nothing here is too small to bring up.

Anxiety

A racing mind, a tight chest, the sense you can’t switch off. We’ll slow it down together.

Depression

When everything feels heavy or flat. You don’t have to push through it alone.

Trauma & PTSD

When the past keeps showing up in the present. Gentle, paced work at your speed.

Relationships

Patterns that repeat, closeness that hurts. A place to untangle them with care.

Grief & loss

Loss that reshapes everything. Room to feel it without a timeline.

Life transitions

New jobs, moves, parenthood, endings. Support while you find your footing.

The first consultation

A conversation — not a commitment.

The first session is simply a beginning. No diagnosis on the spot, no paperwork that locks you in, no judgment for how long it took to get here.

  • We talk about what brought you in, at whatever pace feels right.
  • You ask anything — about the process, about us, about what comes next.
  • Together we sense whether it feels like a fit. If it doesn’t, that’s okay.
  • If we’re not the right match, we’ll help you find someone who is.

Most people feel relief after simply making the call. You can leave it there — that’s always allowed.

How therapy works here

  • EMDR for trauma
  • Psychodynamic therapy
  • Mindfulness-based approaches
  • Internal Family Systems (IFS)
  • Somatic & nervous-system work

Add your real clinicians here. This template intentionally does not invent therapists, licenses, or credentials.

Your story stays in the room.

Confidentiality is the foundation of this work — not a feature, but the whole point. Here’s what that means in plain language.

Protected by law and ethics
What you share is protected under HIPAA and our professional codes of ethics. Your records are kept private and secure.
Nothing leaves without your consent
We don’t share your information without your written permission — not with family, employers, or anyone else.
Secure telehealth
Video sessions use encrypted, HIPAA-compliant platforms.
The few limits, said plainly
By law, we may need to act to keep people safe if there’s a risk of serious harm to you or someone else, or if a child or vulnerable adult is being hurt. We’ll talk with you first whenever we can — never quietly or behind your back.

Insurance & fees

Let’s take the money worry off the table.

Money is one of the things that stops people from reaching out. Here’s the clearest version we can give you now — and we’ll confirm the details with you directly before your first session.

Insurance

We accept several major plans. The list below is a placeholder until verified — we’ll confirm your specific benefits before your first session.

Commonly accepted (to confirm): [Aetna], [Blue Cross Blue Shield], [Cigna], [United].

Self-pay rate

Per 50-minute session. Placeholder rate — set your final fee before launch. We’ll always tell you the cost up front.

A limited number of sliding-scale spots are available — just ask.

Superbills

If we’re out-of-network with your plan, we’ll provide a detailed superbill you can submit for possible reimbursement. We’re happy to walk you through it.

We choose privacy over praise.

Many counseling practices don’t publish client testimonials — even with signed consent, privacy is part of the care. We don’t ask anyone to speak publicly about something this personal. The quiet of a protected space is its own kind of trust.

This template never fabricates testimonials, outcomes, or credentials.

Questions

The things people ask first.

What happens in a first session?+

It’s a conversation. We talk about what brought you in, answer your questions, and get a sense of each other. There’s no pressure to have it all figured out — showing up is the work of the first day.

How long does therapy take?+

It varies, and that’s normal. Some people come for a season; others stay longer. We’ll check in along the way and move at a pace that feels right to you — never on a fixed clock.

Is it confidential?+

Yes. What you share is protected by law and professional ethics, and we don’t share it without your written consent. The only exceptions are narrow legal ones around serious safety — and we’ll talk with you about those directly.

In person or video?+

Either. We offer private in-person sessions in [City, State] and secure, encrypted telehealth across [State]. You can choose what feels safest, and switch when you need to.

What if it’s not a good fit?+

That happens, and it’s okay. The first consultation is partly about fit. If we’re not the right match, we’ll say so warmly and help you find someone who is — no hard feelings, ever.
